SYNOPSIS: This animated short employs hand-drawn animation layered over stop-motion sequences of moving ink on drumskins to create a striking, mournful portrait of Canada's Tar Sands.

Created for Hothouse, the National Film Board of Canada's emerging filmmaker apprenticeship program.
